Instrument Mechanic Apprenticeship Opportunities

Job Description

Industrial machinery mechanics, machinery maintenance workers, and millwrights install, maintain, and repair factory equipment and other industrial machinery.

Working Conditions

On the jobsite, they occasionally work in cramped spaces. The long periods of standing and kneeling can be tiring. Industrial Instrument Technicians may be exposed to dirt, dust, debris, or fumes. Those working outside may be exposed to hot or cold temperatures and inclement weather. 

Minimum Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years of age, high school graduate or GED equivalent, and one year of high school algebra, integrated math 2, or equivalent post-high school algebra course(s) with a grade of C or better, or submit equivalent math placement test scores.
